Hilton Hotels Corporation announced today that Alexander Mirza has been named to the newly-created position of senior v . p . of corporate development. Benefiting his significant hospitality industry expertise in both the corporate and consulting environments, he is going to be working company-wide on cool product development and partnerships, including food and beverage offerings, health clubs and spas, amongst others. Mirza will be based at the Hilton Hotels Corporation World Headquarters in Beverly Hills and reports right to Matthew J. Hart, president and chief operating officer.

Before joining Hilton, Mirza had been a senior executive in the travel and transportation practice at Accenture. Just before Accenture, Mirza was head of strategic planning at Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide, where he was accountable for brand positioning, development planning and business innovation. Mirza started his career initially Financial, Inc. and opened the very first U.S. office servicing corporate high net-worth clients. His consulting background includes several years of project management knowledge about Deloitte/Braxton Associates in the parts of value-based management, growth strategy and globalization.

Mirza was subsequently a senior principal at Strategos, an innovation consultancy where he worked with Alex Mirza inside the luxury hospitality, travel, consumer and asset management industries within the areas of customer strategy, cool product development and repair innovation.
